RHU
World Cup Fever Day - Spain
Class RHU enjoyed a fantastic celebration of World Cup Fever Day 2026!
We kicked things off with an exciting opening ceremony, where Mr Dagnall spoke to the children about the day ahead and the importance of sport, teamwork, and learning about countries from around the world.
The morning was filled with energy as pupils joined in a variety of football‑themed activities, including American street dance and beat the goalie. A special World Cup‑inspired lunch added even more fun to the occasion!
In the afternoon, the whole school gathered for a brilliant Mexican Wave, which was filmed and can be viewed on the school website. We rounded off the day with a creative woodland stadium‑building challenge, where children used natural materials to design imaginative football arenas, threw a ball into the inflatable target shots and then practiced our dribbling skills.
Throughout the day, Class RHU also learned all about Spain, our chosen country. Working independently, the children shared interesting facts, completed a range of activities including tasting Spanish food, Spanish crafts and we even learned to say our colours and numbers in Spanish!
It truly was a day bursting with creativity, teamwork, sport, and celebration.
Well done to Class RHU for representing Spain with such enthusiasm and pride!
