Class 3H had an AMAZING time taking part in World Cup Fever Day 2026. Each class was given a country to represent, and after the school draw, 3H were excited to be representing Saudi Arabia for the day!

The day began with an exciting opening ceremony, during which Mr Dagnall shared details of the day's activities and highlighted the importance of celebrating sport, teamwork, and the diverse countries represented around the world. 3H then got further into the spirit of the day by having an enthusiastic sing-a-long to ‘Three Lions’.

Then it was time to start range of fun football-themed activities which included:

  • a woodland stadium-building challenge - where they used natural resources to create their own imaginative football stadiums

  • inflatable goal target shots

  • football dribbling skills with Mr Mason

  • beat the goalie (our very own football superstars - Mrs Aspinall-Wood, Mrs Culley and Mrs Knapper!) on the MUGA

  • an activity booklet full of colouring, puzzles and design challenges

In the afternoon, the whole school came together for a fantastic Mexican Wave. 3H then took part in an energetic Year 3 American street dance lesson with Mrs Marsden. After this, we spent some time learning out Saudi Arabia and their football teams journey to the World Cup 2026.

As we all love a sing-song in 3H we thought it was very apt to finish the day by signing and dancing, ‘Three Lions’ and ‘Sweet Caroline’!

Wow! What an amazing day! Well done 3H!
