World Cup Fever Day 2026

Class 4H had a fantastic time taking part in our school’s World Cup Fever Day 2026. Each class was given a country to represent, and after the school draw, 4H were delighted to be representing Algeria for the day.

The day began with an exciting opening ceremony, where the children listened to information from Mr.Dagnall about the day ahead and the importance of celebrating sport, teamwork and different countries from around the world. After this, 4H took part in a range of fun football-themed activities, including inflatable target shots, football dribbling skills and a woodland stadium-building challenge, where they used natural resources to create their own imaginative football stadiums. Some of the children also enjoyed a special World Cup-themed lunch, which added even more excitement to the day.

In the afternoon, the whole school came together for a brilliant Mexican Wave, which was captured on video and can be seen on the school website. 4H then took part in an energetic Year 4 American street dance lesson before finishing the day with a very popular game of Beat the Goalie - even if most of the children couldn't score past Mr. 'Jordan Pickford' Harrison!

Throughout the day, 4H also spent time learning more about Algeria. The children created colourful information posters, produced Algerian-inspired artwork and completed a variety of World Cup-themed crafts and colouring activities. It was a wonderful day full of creativity, teamwork, sport and celebration. Well done to 4H for representing Algeria with such enthusiasm!
