Bleak Hill Curriculum Statement
At Bleak Hill our statement of curriculum intent is based upon our school Mission Statement and our school values. Our curriculum is designed to ensure opportunities are provided to create independent, confident and highly motivated life-long learners. We build children’s aspirations to enable them to achieve success now and in the future. Our school values underpin all we do: we support our children to be proud members of our school, respecting themselves, each other, family and community. All children are given the opportunity to succeed through a broad, balanced, challenging and inclusive curriculum. We plan our curriculum to include all the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, National Curriculum and the St Helens Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education where knowledge and skills build upon prior learning and provide progression of skills. We constantly strive to provide enhancement opportunities to engage learning, both in the classroom, our school garden, woodland area and beyond. A wide range of extra-curricular activities enrich the opportunities for our children. At Bleak Hill we promote a positive attitude to learning so all children enjoy coming to school, develop high expectations of themselves in terms of their learning and behaviour and have a real sense of pride in achievement. At Bleak Hill Primary we strive to provide an unique and exciting curriculum for our children.
