Ethos and Values
We all play a hugely influential role in the lives of children and we must give the children the right messages.
Positive values improve self-esteem and confidence; create a better atmosphere and environment for all; encourage children to become more aware of their behaviour; have a positive impact on behaviour; teach children to value themselves, each other and their environment; support the development of the whole child; allow children to discover the best of themselves; and prepare children to become valued citizens in the real world.
A year of Bleak Hill Values ensure that the children know what these values mean and how they can be seen. Bleak Hill Values are closely linked with our promotion of British Values within school and are important to all children, staff, parents and governors. We have a set of values every month and our merit awards focus on children who display these.
