Friends of Bleak Hill

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be
collecting free donations for Friends of Bleak Hill?

There are over 3,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury's – it doesn't cost you a penny extra!

1. Head to https://new.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/friendsofbleakhill/ and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

3. After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!

There are no catches or hidden charges and Friends of Bleak Hill will be really grateful for your donations.

Thank you for your support.

The Friends Association plays a vital role in raising funds for our School. Throughout the year various enjoyable events are planned by our hardworking Friends committee – including Bingo nights, Family Fun night and lots of other activities!

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and the first committee. It was lovely to welcome some new faces.  Following the election of officers, we are delighted to confirm the following appointments

Chairperson                        Mrs Lisa Marsh                                           Treasurer        Mrs Laura Ashton

Secretary                             Mrs Lisa Moore                                          Minutes Secretary       Mrs Lucy Roberts

The Friends of bleak Hill is a registered charity and raises funds throughout the year to support the school. Equally important is the social aspect of the events organised. As a school with a very tight budget we are extremely grateful for the funds raised. During the last academic year the Friends gave the school £17,094 which helped with the purchase of 16 laptops, guided reading books, Slice cultural project, 16 IPads and the Text Messaging service. As you can see without this support, pupils would not be able to benefit from these important items. We look forward to working with the Friends in what we hope will be another very successful year.

If any parents work for an organisation who offer match funding for charitable events please get in touch with Mrs Marsh.
