YR6 - Ecolibrium - 9th November 2017

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Year 6 Year: 2017 - 2018

Blue skies, shimmers of sunlight, a slight chill in the air and not a drop of rain in sight!  A perfect day to tackle lots of new and exciting jobs in the garden:

  • Chopping a bunch of dogwood down to make a habitat pile for hedgehogs and mice
  • Planting the Acorn and Conker plant pots (from a couple of weeks ago) into the raised borders outside
  • Adding more plants to the window boxes at the front of school
  • Weeding and replanting the tryes outside the YR6 classrooms

We also managed to find some time to dig out a huge beetroot, which we chopped into a couple of pieces and made some prints on a sheet of paper.

We then finished the day with a Q&A session around the upcoming Remembrance day and enjoyed a scrumptious snack of poppy seed crackers with cream cheese!

We're so proud to be able to offer this to your children on a weekly basis.
